Overview:

Locally Fresh was a regional produce initiative focused on promoting organic, locally grown food throughout Southern California. The project aimed to educate consumers, support local farmers, and streamline produce distribution by highlighting proximity-based food sourcing through a modern, engaging website.


Key Contributions:Brand Identity Development

  • Designed full brand identity, including a logo emphasizing freshness, locality, and sustainability.
  • Developed consistent visual language across all site elements, including icons, banners, and badges.

Web Design & Development

  • Created a responsive and visually engaging site centered around clean design and community appeal.
  • Used HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to develop a content-rich front-end with dynamic elements.

Interactive Mapping Tool

  • Built a custom 3D-style interactive California map allowing users to explore exact growing regions by crop type.
  • Designed intuitive icons for produce categories, integrated legend elements, and region-based hover/click behavior.

User Education & Visual Storytelling

  • Designed a bold homepage layout to explain the purpose and process of locally sourced foods.
  • Created animated sliders, sectioned callouts, and visual infographics to enhance user engagement.

Creative Direction

  • Collaborated on message tone for consumers, distributors, and agricultural partners alike.
  • Led design vision to maintain a warm, fresh, and trustworthy look across desktop and mobile experiences.
